Life for Lily Bart seems to be dull after the wedding. She has to go back husband searching now. However, Mrs. Haffen appears and holds a package of letters, what could these letters be? Why they're letters exchanged between Lonelyboy and B! (and pretty recent as well) Lily buys them since Mrs. Haffen thinks they're hers and Haffen uses them for blackmail against Lily. Lily does not burn the letters however she does not plan to spill the beans on this. But she keeps them tucked way since she does have some power over B's reputation.
